‘Αντίληψη’ is the ability to see, hear, or become aware of something through the senses, and the way in which it is interpreted. In aesthetics, it is fundamental, as art only exists through being perceived by an observer. The field explores how our perception organizes visual or auditory information into a meaningful whole.
