Я тебе кохаю is "I love you" in Ukrainian, used specifically for romantic love. кохати (kokhaty) is reserved for deep, romantic feelings. For familial or platonic love, Ukrainians use любити (lyubyty): Я тебе люблю. Both are powerful, but кохаю carries a uniquely Ukrainian intensity.
